WHEN & WHERE - The Spring Concert will take place at Bay Port in the auditorium @ 5:30pm on Thursday, May 10. The concert should be between 15 & 20 minutes in length.
ARRIVAL - Students should arrive to Bay Port @ 5:10. Please enter the building through the Auditorium doors. Students should leave their jackets with their parent(s) and go back stage to line-up on the risers.
EARLY ARRIVAL - Parents - there is absolutely no benefit to arriving early. The doors to the auditorium will not open for you to take a seat until 5:10 (20 minutes before concert time). Space inside the building is limited so I ask that you please do not arrive prior to 5:10. There will not be room for people to wait inside the building for the auditorium doors to open.
WHAT TO WEAR - Students should wear their black choir t-shirts to the concert. They can pretty much wear what they want with their shirts. Jeans, shorts (jean, khaki, dress, plaid), leggings, dress pants, khaki pants, skirts, etc are all acceptable. Yes - it is ok for the boys to wear shorts - it is very warm on stage! Students may wear a long sleeve shirt underneath their choir t-shirt, however, please keep in mind, it is very warm on stage. There are a few things I do ask you to avoid if at all possible. Below is the list.
- Athletic pants
- Athletic shorts
- High heeled shoes
MISSING CHOIR SHIRTS - Please do not panic if you have a t-shirt emergency the night of the concert. I have extra shirts that I bring with me to every concert and loan out to students who need them. Should your child borrow a shirt I will need the shirt returned within the week.
AFTER THE CONCERT - Students will be dismissed into the commons after the concert. Due to close concert times and having to re-set and organize for the 6:30 concert along with making room for all the families arriving for the 6:30 concert I am going to ask all families attending the concert to promptly exit the auditorium as soon as the students have exited the stage. You will then proceed to the commons to find your child. Once you find your child you are free to leave. Please exit the building using the main doors. Please do not walk back down to the auditorium. I will have families entering the building through the auditorium doors for the 6:30 concert. This will help ease congestion for everyone.
